Godzilla Godzilla vs. Biollante
Dr. Shirigami, a biologist, obtains some Godzilla cells recovered from Tokyo. When his daughter is killed by agents attempting to steal these 'G-Cells', he combines her DNA with that of a rose plant in an attempt to keep part of her alive. Terrorists seeking a Godzilla-destroying bacteria developed by Kirishima, another scientist, blow up the volcano on Oshima island, setting Godzilla free. Shirigami's rose experiment is damaged, and he combines its DNA with the G-Cells to save it. The result is Biollante, an enormous plant-creature which Godzilla attacks and defeats, only to have it return in a more monstrous form. These battles and the effects of Kirishima's bacteria take their toll on Godzilla, but he triumphs in the end, and swims out to sea.
